We hit 900 miles here in Durango, CO! We celebrated with some delicious donuts from Durango Doughworks. Our Kevlar-reinforced "Armadillo" tires have protected us well thus far, but on the way here from Chama, NM, we each got our first flats. Jon's was a mysterious slow leak and Megan's was a mean puncture by a staple.

Jon tried to get Megan to patch her own tire for practice, but instead Megan hiked up a hill, waved to Jon, and went to the bathroom. Jon fixed the tire and then was bitten by ants repeatedly in the back.

We made two much-needed bike shop stops--at The Hub in Pagosa Springs and Hassle-Free Sports in Durango. Our new pump and pressure gauge are serving us well! And we hope we don't have to use that spoke wrench.
