So in Taos, we met several veteran bicycle tourists, all of whom encouraged us to avoid the monotonous-dangerous interstate route across central New Mexico/Arizona and instead head to Utah for the "ride of a lifetime."
It's funny, since our original route was through Utah but we turned south to escape the cold weather. Then once we got south, everyone started telling us we would be crazy not to ride north again.
For a lot of reasons, we decided Utah was worth a shot. So we have altered course and we're making a break for Moab as fast as we can. Meanwhile, we got a nice taste of northern New Mexico along the way!
